About Me
Who Am I?
I'm Agnieszka Więckiewicz, but you're welcome to just call me Ags. I've been a graphic designer for as long as I can remember. Before I started my career, I was running home from class in high school to play with some new options in Photoshop. Since then almost 10 years of professional designing have passed and I'm still as enthusiastic as I was back then.
What I've Done So Far?
I've gained my experience as an intern in local advertising agency where I was offered a regular position after only a week of work. Two years of being tasked with everything from dtp like brochures and booklets, to branding and websites, along with creating entire launching campaigns from scratch, have shaped me into a well-rounded designer, ready to conquer the world. I've tried my hand at freelancing for a year, only to return to an office environemnt and start an exciting adventure in the beauty industry, where I was able to mix my already acquired skills with a bit of packaging development. Right now you can find me designing board games, such as Monopoly or Cluedo. Here, I am very happy to have been promoted to a Senior Graphic Designer, which helped me discover new joy in mentoring my juniors and managing studio's resources when the need calls for it. I oversee my local office and while my superior is absent I step in to help fulfill the duties of a Head of Design in six offices (the UK, the USA, France, Germany, Poland and Australia).
What Else Can I Do?
Thanks to my rich experience in various fields, I think my range of skills is quite wide. Apart from what I've already mentioned above, I have been told to have a friendly personality, serious approach to work and high work ethic. This helps me be a good leader of a team and a capable mentor to juniors. I adapt easily to any environment and learn new technologies quickly. I am always willing to dedicate time and money on developing new skills, hence attending professional photo retouching, After Effects and Figma courses in the past. Learning languages is another one of my hobbies - very quickly I've reached intermediate level of French and simultaneously I'm also studying Japanese and Korean.
